What do you have to do? How much does it cost to start a bakery and cafe in walnut creek california? How much can you make? Does anyone own their own business and want to mentor a soon to be college graduate debating what needs to be done? And lastly would anyone want to buy European desserts rather than the typical doughnut ?
I suggest starting out in a Culinary Arts school or university. I would say it costs well over $500,000 to start a bakery in California. Completely depends on location though. I’d rather buy European desserts over a doughnut.

I prefer two or three types of desserts. One type of cookie, etc… I think they want some variety.
I want to spontaneously treat the recycling club that I am in right now with a delicious dessert. The problem: I don’t know how to cook/bake.
However, I don’t want something that is hard to carry(cake). If you don’t have any idea for desserts, any simple finger food would be nice. thx a whole lot
jello is ridiculous easy good with cool whip,
chocolate pudding
I have 2 graham cracker bases which I’m using to make 2 desserts for a New Year’s Party. What are your favourite recipes to use for them?
You can make lots of different cheesecake recipes. Or fresh strawberry pie (if they’re in season where you’re at). Or banana cream pie. Or go to the Nabisco and Keebler sites and look at their recipes, since both companies make ready made graham cracker crusts.
I don’t know much about dessert and wine pairing, but i need to make a plated dessert for school that will go with a tawny wine. Anyone have any good suggestions? Or maybe any desserts that go good with any kinda wine? The more the better! Or anyone know a good place to do research? Thanks!
I have a silly rule of thumb I use for pairing dessert wines – match the color of the wine to the color of the food. It isn’t a perfect formula, but it beats flying blind.
These Tawny Port suggestions are based on a little more reality than that (my own personal pairings, particularly at restaurants, but also at dinner parties where I’ve made the dessert). Though they pretty much fit my rule
As someone else mentioned – CHOCOLATE, especially bittersweet. Also desserts with dried fruits. Nuts, especially walnuts are great. The only fresh fruit flavors that would work with a tawny are probably apples and pears. So based on those ingredients, you should visit epicurious.com, throw in the ingredients you like in the search and find a spectacular recipe!
Im having a barbecue this coming Saturday, and im wondering after all those grilled/barbied foods like sausages, satay (meat on a stick), meats and all, what desserts do you expect? And if possible, what would surprise you?
I was maybe thinking of chucking a bowl full of melted chocolate right there and let people grill fruits and dip it in.
Some grilled fruits like banana, pineapple and honey melons
Ice cream and grilled bananas?
Fresh fruits?
Fresh fruits,cream cakes and brownies
