In many circuses, wild and exotic animals are trained through the use of intimidation and physical abuse. Former circus employees have reported seeing animals beaten, whipped, poked with sharp objects and even burned to force them to learn their routines!
Elephants who perform in circuses are often kept in chains for as long as 23 hours a day from the time they are babies.
More than 15 million warm-blooded animals are used in research every year.
Scientists estimate that 100 species go extinct every day! That’s about one species every 15 minutes.
If you live in Pennsylvania, California, Florida, Rhode Island, Illinois, Virginia, Oregon, New York, New Jersey and Vermont you have the legal right to refuse to participate in dissection in class! In Louisiana, there is a State resolution and in Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland and New Mexico, there are Departments of Education resolutions in place that allow you to refuse to dissect, although it hasnt yet become a law.

i love animals. …
i love animals. even when i was at my worst financially i refused to cut off my monthly donation to the aspca. i get much more angered and upset to hear of animal abuse than abuse to humans in any form. i wish i were rich i would donate all of my money to help animal abuse and would live in a tiny cheap apartment. i get sick to think that right now at this very second an animal somewhere is being abused by some heartless, gutless, pathetic human being who doesnt deserve to live.

My friend found a kitten in a ditch. the mother and other kittens had drowned. Kitty was only three days old. Somehow she lived. But, she attacks me when i walk into the house. I hope whoever did that is either dead or is going to die a painful death. Animals, like us, have feelings. They can’t say “Stop!” so it’s up to use to do it for them!

If you are a pet lover (I’m kind of on both sides) and are absolutely disgusted at the thought of eating dog meat, then being a vegetarian will be better for you both physically and mentally. Coming from China, I’m used to eating all types of meat (No offense to everyone out there whose hands are itching to flame me right now). And really, as long as my cat isn’t in the bowl soup I’m having for dinner, I’m fine.
