California travel expert Veronica Hill visits the Forever Wild Animal Sanctuary in the Mojave Desert in this episode of “California Travel Tips.”

Located in Phelan, the sanctuary for animals is run by Joel and Chemaine Almquist. The wild animals sanctuary opened to the public in July 2009.

At this wild animals sanctuary you’ll find desert tortoises, alligators, parrots and a variety of venemous snakes and reptiles, including several varieties of rattlesnakes, vipers, cobras and pythons.

Outside, the tiger sanctuary is home to 10 Bengal tigers as well as mountain lions, servals, bobcats, panthers and leopards.
