Also, most don’t allow public contact with their animals, so you need to think before you generalize and say all keep them just to charge for petting them. I have rather large Monitor lizards, and after 3 ft in length, they are only displayed, and I am the only one with direct contact. I have never charged for petting or to have pictures taken with them.
