I would say turtles require a lot of cleaning and matinance. They are also really bad becuase of higen issues and stink a lot so they are not really what I would call “low matinance” at all. snakes are good but Again small snakes and such but she started taking about rats and rabbits. . . thats python food and are a heck of a lot of effort and can be dangerous as they get bigger.
