I have 2 graham cracker bases which I’m using to make 2 desserts for a New Year’s Party. What are your favourite recipes to use for them?
You can make lots of different cheesecake recipes. Or fresh strawberry pie (if they’re in season where you’re at). Or banana cream pie. Or go to the Nabisco and Keebler sites and look at their recipes, since both companies make ready made graham cracker crusts.
I like to make a no-bake cheese filling with pudding (prepared as pie filling which is half the milk) and two bricks of softened cream cheese. Whip it all together, and pour into the crust, let set for an hour.
This time last year (can’t find it this year) Jello makes a pumpkin flavor instant pudding. But you can use any flavor you like. You can also use Nutella hazelnut spread instead of pudding or any number of other things…like canned pie filling in fruit flavors, or jam or Polaner’s Fruit Spread. I haven’t tried Jello gelatin but it might be good with cream cheese, if not, you can make Jello with half the water and mix it into slightly thawed sherbet and pour into your crust.
You can also replace the cream cheese with vanilla ice cream.
