Im having a barbecue this coming Saturday, and im wondering after all those grilled/barbied foods like sausages, satay (meat on a stick), meats and all, what desserts do you expect? And if possible, what would surprise you?

I was maybe thinking of chucking a bowl full of melted chocolate right there and let people grill fruits and dip it in.

Some grilled fruits like banana, pineapple and honey melons

Ice cream and grilled bananas?

Fresh fruits?

Fresh fruits,cream cakes and brownies

Fresh fruits should be better than grilled fruits, imagine your grilled banana, it will be soft and drop from skewer before it reach the bowl of chocolate.

I like your idea of grilling fruit and having chocolate to dip into. You can grill pineapple, bananas, melon(not watermelon), oranges sections, apples pieces, and even papaya. Just be sure to clean off any residue from the gill before grilling the fruit. Sounds like a real nice BBQ

Grilled peaches are a favorite at our barbecues. You’re spot on with melting some chocolate — I’d go with that.

We also often do something simple out of the freezer — ice cream or frozen fruit bars.
